Bruschetta

One of my favorite appetizers to make is Bruschetta with a sliced baguette. Yum!!! I wanted to share my easy recipe with you so you can look like Susie Homemaker when you serve it to your guest.

You will need:

5-6 Roma Tomatoes (good size)

1 can sliced Black Olives

1 whole bulb of garlic Garlic

10-15 leaves depending on the size of the leave …lots of basil

1/4 cup Olive Oil

1/2 teaspoon Garlic Salt

Baguette

Take 5-6 washed Roma tomatoes and cut in half. The cut out all the seeds and insides.

After you cut each one and take out the inside seeds you are going to want to dice the tomatoes up very small.

Then chop the black olives and garlic up very small too.

Cut the basil up by laying each leaf on the other and rolling the basil like a fat cigarette. Now slice it thin.

Put all ingredients in the bowl:

Add 1/4 cup olive oil, a 1/2 teaspoon of garlic salt and mix well but gently. You can add a splash of balsamic vinegar if you’d like.

Serve with a baguette that you have sliced and brushed with olive oil and baked for a few minutes on 350*.
