This past weekend was a busy one! All of our children and grandchildren came on Friday night and we had a “spend the night” party. We had planned to cook hot dogs over the fire-pit but it rained so we grilled them instead. It did finally stop rainning and we made s’mores over the fire-pit. After about two s’mores we realized that Joy was playing duck, duck goose around the circle by herself. I guess that is what happens to children after sugar and chocolate. It was a lot of fun!
We all had breakfast together and then some had to go do their Saturday duties. I do try and teach the grandchildren how to cook so Caleb made all the bacon for breakfast.
I then tried to make eggs in cookie cutters for the kids and I have to say it was difficult. It was easier to beat the eggs in a bowl and cook them flat. After the eggs were fully cooked I stamped out shapes with cookie cutters.
Amanda and I then went and bought pumpkins to paint. It was so easy!
Writing on the pumpkin free hand was a little hard but you could use a pencil and lightly write it on there first. Just find a font that you like, decide what you want to write and the add a bow!
